QUALIFYING SYSTEM

• We aim to take the best 2 of 3 heats based on points. Points shall be assigned to the drivers of every run of Heats. In order to be prepared for thunderstorms disrupting any of the runs, drivers need to be prepared that we shall total points for 1 of 2 or 1 of 1.

• All Heats shall be 7~10 minutes in duration. We shall plan for A, B & C Main finals for trucks and X’mas tree finals for buggies. The finals duration shall be decided on site depending on weather conditions.

• Each run of heats; drivers will score points based on the laps and times achieved. The maximum number of points awarded to the best driver will be equal 115 (Truck: 41).o The fastest in each run will score: 115 points (Truck: 41).o The 2nd fastest will score: points of fastest driver, -2 points. o The 3rd fastest will score: points of 2nd fastest driver, -1 pointo Down to last position one by one.

• In every run, in case of a tie, the points will be equally awarded to each driver, and the first driver not to tie, will receive one point less per tie. For example:
1st driver will score 115 points
2nd driver will score 113 points
3rd driver will score 112 points
4th driver will score 111 points
5th driver 7 laps, 5:01.00 will score 110 points TIE
6th driver 7 laps, 5:01.00 will score 110 points TIE
7th driver 7 laps, 5:01.00 will score 110 points TIE
8th driver 7 laps, 5:10.00 will score 97 points

• In a case of two or more drivers having the same point score, the next best point score determines position. If still unable to resolve with the next best runs, then the driver with the highest laps and fastest times in his best score will determine position.

• Assuming that all goes as plan, we would have 3 runs of heats. The point results of the best 2 will be totalled to sort for finals. If, due to unforeseen circumstances, we will use best 1 of 2, or 1 of 1.

• If a driver does not start a heat, he receives no points.

WET WEATHER PROGRAM

• The following contingencies shall be applicable in the event of clement weather: lightning & thunder.

• In the unfortunate event that this happens before we complete run 1; the event schedule shall be halted to accommodate the weather. Thereafter, when the weather permits, the event schedule shall be continued from that point onwards – if we halted in the midst of Heat 4 Run 1; when the weather permits, we will continue from Heat 4 Run 1.

• Run durations may be adjusted between 7 and 10 minutes to all Runs before and after the clement weather condition – if we started with 10 minute runs for Heats 1 to 4 and had to stop due to clement weather; once the weather permits, we will re-schedule the timetable and MAY reduce run duration down to 7 minutes. In this instance, only the first 7 minutes of results from Heats 1 to 4 shall used instead of the full 10 minute run. This procedure shall be based on the change in run duration through Spark2.

i. Singapore enjoys Tropical Weather; all drivers please take note and prepare for it. On a best effort basis, we will try to have each run of heats completed under similar conditions. However, once we start off the X’mas tree finals, we will only stop the time table if there is lightning and thunder, this would mean that drivers need to be prepared to compete under wet and raining conditions.

j. Assuming that all goes as plan, we would have 3 runs of heats. The point results of the best 2 will be totalled to sort for the X’mas Tree Finals. If, due to unforeseen circumstances, we only have 2 runs of heats, then best run will count and finally, if there were only one run of heat, then it shall be the only run to count.

Each driver will be issued with a single Number Sticker for your Heats, please clean the surface of the left side wall of your wing (bearing reference with the front of your car facing away from you) and attached the number sticker onto it.
